Westminster Village, Inc in Scottsdale, AZ is seeking a part-time nurse aide to manage, track, and administer medicine to residents as prescribed by their medical providers. The role supports daily care in a long-term care setting.

Responsibilities include documenting procedures, assisting with mobility, attending in-services, and maintaining safety practices. CPR and First Aid certification are required; prior LTC experience preferred.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Manage, track, and administer medicine to residents as prescribed, and ordered by their medical providers.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBLITY:

• Manage, track, and administer medicine and prescribed medical care for residents.
• Full physical care for residents maintains resident elimination.
• Responsible for completion of daily assignment.
• Transports, or walks with, residents to/from activities, as needed.
• Reports/documents all procedures, care, reactions, and other pertinent resident information, as needed.
• Assumes own responsibility to demonstrate good body mechanics and proper use of gait belt for lifting or transferring residents.
• Attends offered in-services on good body mechanics.
• Is responsible for following safe practices in all areas of work.
• Is required to perform any other duties or assume any other responsibilities as directed by department head or supervisor, or as is necessary to perform this job.
• Participates in in-service programs and maintains continuing education requirements.
• Ability to anticipate the needs of residents.
• Must treat resident information in a confidential manner.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• Maintains CPR certification and First Aid training specific to adults.
• Previous experience in a long-term care setting is preferred.
• Attend and participate in continuing educational programs.

PHYSICAL DEMAND:

• Must be able to continuously stand and walk, squat, bend and lift 50 pounds
