Job summary

WesleyLife is seeking a compassionate caregiver to administer medications and support residents in daily activities at our Atlantic, IA location. This role emphasizes accuracy, safety, and teamwork within a respectful community.

The position offers PRN weekday/day shifts with weekend preference, along with comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth within a purpose-driven organization that values well-being and service to older adults.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older (Iowa requirement).
• Compassionate, dependable, and motivated to serve others.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Prior experience in assisted living preferred but not required.
• Prior experience with whirlpool baths highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications to residents according to prescribed schedules and protocols.
• Assist residents with daily living activities (grooming, dressing, meals) to promote independence.
• Monitor residents' health and report changes to healthcare professionals and families.
• Maintain accurate documentation of medication administration and resident care activities.
• PRN availability on weekday days and weekends preferred.

Job description

• Administer medications to residents according to prescribed schedules, ensuring accuracy and adherence to medication management protocols.
• Assist residents with daily living activities, including grooming, dressing, and meal preparation, promoting their independence and well-being.
• Monitor residents' health and well-being, promptly reporting any changes or concerns to healthcare professionals and family members.
• Maintain accurate documentation of medication administration and resident care activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and protocols.
• PRN (day shift on Weekdays and Weekends preferred)

Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years of age or older *This is a State of Iowa requirement to pass medication. Unfortunately, at this time, we cannot consider minors for this position
• Compassionate, dependable, and motivated to serve others

• Prior experience in AL preferred but not required
• Prior experience with whirlpool baths highly preferred
