Job summary

Saint Elizabeth Community in East Greenwich, RI is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant for our Assisted Living unit. This role includes full-time day shifts or part-time day/evening options, with every other weekend work.

Pay ranges from $19.44 to $23.64 per hour based on experience. As an Assisted Living CNA, you will perform vital signs, assist with daily living activities, maintain a safe environment, and document care accurately.

Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Graduate of state-approved CNA training and passed registry within 120 days of employment; name entered into state nurse aide registry.

Responsibilities

• Accurately perform and record vital signs, height and weight.
• Accurately calculate and record weight gain/loss and fluid intake/output.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents.
• Recognize abnormal changes in body functioning and report to a supervisor.
• Perform palliative and post-mortem care.
• Perform routine well-being rounds on assigned residents.
• Supervise, assist or provide Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
• Provide preventative skin care techniques and report skin changes to a licensed nurse.
• Utilize proper techniques and devices to transfer and reposition a resident.
• Provide timely, accurate and complete documentation and communication.

Qualifications for an Assisted Living CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or three-six months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
• Graduate of a state approved nursing assistant training program and passed a state approved competency examination (written and skills) within 120 days of employment; name entered into state nurse aide registry.

Responsibilities of an Assisted Living CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant:

• Utilize proper techniques and devices to transfer and position/re-position a resident.
• Provide timely, accurate and complete documentation and communication.
