Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent, or enrollment in 2+ years of child development coursework
• 2+ years verified child care experience
• Experience working with children (professional, volunteer, or familial)
• Passion for working with children in a diverse, fun environment
• Ability to pass all required clearances and stay updated on trainings (including 6 hours of child care-related trainings annually)

Key Responsibilities:

• Create engaging learning activities that promote self-esteem
• Implement developmentally appropriate curriculum, possibly overseeing staff
• Engage positively with children and provide encouraging feedback
• Use positive reinforcement for behavior management
• Communicate effectively with parents/guardians
• Maintain accurate attendance, emergency contacts, allergy reports, and other documentation
• Organize and maintain learning materials and centers
• Participate in team planning meetings
