Minimum requirements for this job:

• High school diploma or equivalent, or enrollment in 2+ years of child development coursework
• 2+ years verified child care experience
• Prior experience working with children (professional, volunteer, or familial)
• Passionate about working with children in a fun, diverse environment
• Ability to pass all relevant clearances and stay updated on trainings including 6 hours of child care-related training annually
• Availability weekdays 2pm-6pm

Key responsibilities:

• Develop engaging ways to help kids learn and build their self-esteem
• Implement developmentally appropriate curriculum, potentially overseeing classroom staff
• Provide quality interactions with children using positive reinforcement and open-ended questions
• Maintain accurate records: attendance, emergency contacts, allergy reports, and compliance paperwork
• Ensure learning environments are well-equipped and organized
• Attend team planning meetings regularly
