Big Steps Little Feet in Ada, MI is seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Young 3's Teacher to join our early childhood education team. You will support a lead teacher, engage toddlers in fun learning activities, and help manage routines that foster growth and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Coursework in Early Childhood Education a plus.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Assist the lead teacher in planning and implementing age-appropriate activities for young 3-year-olds
• Support a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment that encourages growth and development
• Guide children through daily routines including circle time, free play, snack, and transitions
• Observe and monitor children's behavior, social interactions, and developmental milestones
• Communicate openly and positively with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress
• Assist with classroom management and reinforce positive behavior strategies

  Requirements:

  • Experience working with toddlers or preschool-aged children preferred

  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; coursework in Early Childhood Education a plus
