Job summary

NC State University is seeking an Assistant Women’s Volleyball Coach to support the Division 1A team competing in the ACC. The role involves scouting, recruiting outreach, and on-campus visits for prospective student-athletes, while upholding university and NCAA guidelines.

The position requires a Bachelor’s Degree and at least two years of collegiate or professional coaching/playing experience, with strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to student-athlete development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Minimum 2 years coaching/playing at collegiate or pro level.
• Knowledge of ACC, NCAA and university guidelines.
• Computer skills to perform duties.
• Good interpersonal communication skills.
• NCAA Coach’s Certification must be taken annually.

Responsibilities

• Assist with scouting and recruitment of student-athletes, including on-campus visits.
• Assist in coaching and teaching skill-development and team philosophy.
• Monitor conditioning in coordination with Strength Coach and athletic trainers.
• Develop schedules for practice and competition with department administrators.
• Travel with the team and manage equipment and travel arrangements.
• Engage in public relations activities and fundraising as needed.
