Central State University Athletics is seeking an Assistant Women's Basketball Coach to support guiding and leading an elite program, and to promote student‑athlete achievement and character. Responsibilities include on‑court coaching, recruiting, travel coordination, and development of players.

The candidate must demonstrate knowledge of basketball fundamentals, communicate effectively, and uphold high integrity and work ethic while collaborating with staff to advance the program within NCAA

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Prior women's basketball coaching experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Women's Basketball Coach with organization and supervision of all program aspects.
• Ensure NCAA Division II rules compliance.
• Coordinate player development workouts and strength training.
• Support with recruitment of academically eligible student‑athletes.
• Coordinate team travel and related logistics, including pre/postseason conditioning.

Job Summary/Basic Function

Central State University athletics is currently acceptingapplications for an Assistant Women's Basketball Coach to assistwith meeting the goals of guiding and leading an elite-level Women's Basketball program with effective management; as well as topromote academic achievement and character of the student athlete,fans, and within the University community.

Duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to onthe court coaching in practices and games; recruiting; scouting;summer camps, coordination of travel arrangements, travel expensereports, and any other duties deemed appropriate by the Head Coach.A thorough knowledge of Central State University and the NCAADivision II are imperative. Furthermore, the successful candidatemust have knowledge of the game of basketball and the skillsnecessary to communicate and teach this information to thestudent-athletes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist the Head Women's Basketball Coach with the organizationand supervision for all aspects of the Women's Basketballprogram.
• NCAA Division II Rules Compliance.
• Coordinates individual player development workouts and strengthtraining.
• Must possess high integrity, a commitment to excellence,loyalty and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and inwriting.
• Ability to perform duties in a professional manner andappearance.
• Ability to work with a wide range of people.
• Assist with the recruitment of academically qualifiedstudent-athletes who can compete at the NCAA II level.
• Team travel including weekends.
• Pre and post-season conditioning.
• Must have the ability to lead the program

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITIES

• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite to include: Word,Excel, and Outlook

• Ability to work independently within a team environment
