Job summary

Northwestern State University seeks an Assistant Women's Basketball Coach to support all aspects of a competitive program in a busy collegiate setting. You will assist in coaching during pre-season, in-season, and off-season sessions, guide student-athletes, and collaborate with staff on travel, equipment, and team logistics.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree with coaching experience at the collegiate level; a Master's degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred.

• Able to operate within a team environment.
• Previous coaching experience coaching Women's basketball at the collegiate level as a full-time employee, graduate student, or intern preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties in all pre-season, in-season and off-season practice sessions as assigned by head coach.
• Perform duties during intercollegiate competitions as assigned by head coach.
• Perform administrative duties as assigned by head coach including team travel plans, assisting with equipment, room checks, etc.
• Attend NCAA Compliance educational sessions as required by the University Compliance Coordinator.
• Comply with all NCAA rules and regulations as per the NCAA Compliance Manual.
• Perform recruiting duties as assigned by head coach.
• Participate in community activities to promote sport, department, and the University.
