Job summary

Northwestern State University seeks an Assistant Women's Basketball Coach to support all aspects of a competitive program in a busy collegiate setting. You will assist in coaching during pre-season, in-season, and off-season sessions, guide student-athletes, and collaborate with staff on travel, equipment, and team logistics.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree with coaching experience at the collegiate level; a Master's degree is preferred.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Able to operate within a team environment.
Previous coaching experience coaching Women's basketball at the collegiate level as a full-time employee, graduate student, or intern preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform duties in all pre-season, in-season and off-season practice sessions as assigned by head coach.
Perform duties during intercollegiate competitions as assigned by head coach.
Perform administrative duties as assigned by head coach including team travel plans, assisting with equipment, room checks, etc.
Attend NCAA Compliance educational sessions as required by the University Compliance Coordinator.
Comply with all NCAA rules and regulations as per the NCAA Compliance Manual.
Perform recruiting duties as assigned by head coach.
Participate in community activities to promote sport, department, and the University.
