Job summary

Civitas Senior Living in Dripping Springs, TX, is seeking an Assistant Wellness Director to support residents’ daily living activities and foster independence under the Wellness Director. You will lead a health-focused team, perform assessments, and ensure high-quality care.

The role requires coordinating staff, managing care plans, and communicating with internal staff and vendors to ensure smooth operations. Extended hours may be required.

Qualifications

• Background in senior care, preferably wellness or medication management.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Willingness to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays.
• Attention to detail with accuracy and efficiency in computer programs.

Responsibilities

• Staff Coordination: Maintain staffing and scheduling utilizing modern staffing software; assist with recruitment and training to ensure a robust healthcare team.
• Resident-Centered Care: Complete comprehensive assessments and individualized care plans, emphasizing personalized wellness.
• Effective Communication: Liaise with internal staff and external third-party vendors to ensure seamless care coordination.
• Leadership and Training: Lead monthly staff meetings and daily team huddles, cultivating an environment of continuous learning and collaboration.
• Regulatory Compliance: Manage service agreements, update physician orders, and maintain EMAR.
• Medication Management Supervision: Perform weekly cart audits, MAR reviews, and expired medication retrieval.
• Quality Assurance: Assist with incident reports and investigations, ensuring adherence to best practices in senior care.
• Other duties as assigned.
