Job summary

The Waterford at Creekside, a Sonida Senior Living community in Pensacola, FL, is seeking an Assistant Wellness Director to lead nursing operations and ensure quality care for residents.

You will oversee policy implementation, perform resident assessments, coordinate staffing, and monitor regulatory compliance while working with a compassionate team. Eligible applicants will have RN qualification, supervisory experience, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Two-year professional nursing experience in a senior living setting.
• Two years supervisory/management experience with direct care staff.
• Some states may allow for this to be an unlicensed position (WI, TX, SC)

Responsibilities

• Maintains and implements nursing policies aligned with standards of nursing practice, company, and facility philosophy of care and practices while maintaining compliance with state and federal laws and regulations.
• Communicates policies and procedures to nursing staff. Monitors practices for effective implementation and achievement of results.
• Conducts resident assessments, suggesting level of needed service packages to residents and their families, as directed.
• Ensures delivery of compassionate quality care evidenced by adequate services and staff coverage for the facility, appropriateness of staff, absence of odors, cleanliness, absence of pressure wounds, and apparent maintenance of optimal physical, mental and, psychosocial function.
• Demonstrates knowledge of and application of Key Clinical Quality Indicators.
• Reviews 24-hour report from every unit daily to ensure timely, effective responses to significant changes in condition, transfers, discharges, use of physical or chemical restraints, unexplained injuries, potential abuse or neglect, medication errors, loss of resident property, or any evidence of resident or family dissatisfaction, as directed.
• Listens and documents significant changes in condition of residents; including, but not limited to, incidents, unexplained injuries, medication errors, loss of resident property, or evidence of resident or family dissatisfaction per agency policies and state regulations.
