The Addison of Sandy Springs, a Sonida Senior Living community, seeks an Assistant Wellness Director to lead nursing services and ensure high-quality resident care in an assisted living and memory care setting. This leadership role requires strong assessment skills and policy adherence to state and federal guidelines.

You will oversee staffing, collaborate with families, and implement quality indicators to maintain safe, compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Two-year professional nursing experience in a senior living care setting.
• Two-years supervisory/management experience with direct care staff.
• Some states may allow for this to be an unlicensed position.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and implements nursing policies and procedures that reflect current standards of nursing practice and state/federal regulations.
• Communicates and interprets policies to nursing staff and monitors effective implementation.
• Conducts resident assessments and suggests level of service packages for residents and families.
• Ensures delivery of compassionate quality care with adequate services and staffing.
• Demonstrates knowledge of Clinical Quality Indicators and compliance with standards.
• Reviews 24-hour unit reports to ensure timely responses to changes in condition and safety concerns.
• Documents significant changes in residents' condition and incidents per policy.

Assistant Wellness Director Responsibilities Include

• Maintains and implements nursing policies and procedures that reflect current standards of nursing practice, company, and facility philosophy of care and practices while maintaining compliance with state and federal laws and regulations.
• Communicates and interprets policies and procedures to nursing staff. Monitors practices for effective implementation and achievement of results.
• Conducts resident assessments, suggesting level of needed service packages to residents and their families, as directed.
• Ensures delivery of compassionate quality care evidenced by adequate services and staff coverage for the facility, appropriateness of staff, absence of odors, cleanliness, absence of pressure wounds, and apparent maintenance of optimal physical, mental and, psychosocial function.
• Demonstrates knowledge of and application of Key Clinical Quality Indicators.
• Reviews 24-hour report from every unit daily to ensure timely, effective responses to significant changes in condition, transfers, discharges, use of physical or chemical restraints, unexplained injuries, potential abuse or neglect, medication errors, loss of resident property, or any evidence of resident or family dissatisfaction, as directed.
• Listens and documents significant changes in condition of residents; including, but not limited to, incidents, unexplained injuries, medication errors, loss of resident property, or evidence of resident or family dissatisfaction per agency policies and state regulations.
