Job summary

The Addison of Alpharetta, a Sonida Senior Living community, seeks an Assistant Wellness Director to lead nursing services in our Assisted Living and Memory Care residence in Alpharetta, GA.

You will implement policies, supervise care staff, conduct resident assessments, and ensure compassionate, compliant care with strong clinical indicators and responsive team leadership.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and hold an LPN license.
• Two years of professional nursing experience in a senior living care setting.
• Two years of supervisory/management experience with direct care staff.
• Some states may allow this to be an unlicensed position (WI, TX, SC).

Responsibilities

• Maintains and implements nursing policies reflecting current standards of nursing practice, company, and facility philosophy of care; ensures compliance with state and federal laws.
• Communicates and interprets policies to nursing staff; monitors implementation and results.
• Conducts resident assessments and suggests service packages to residents and families.
• Ensures delivery of compassionate quality care with adequate staff coverage, cleanliness, and appropriate conditions.
• Demonstrates knowledge of Clinical Quality Indicators and applies them in daily practice.
• Reviews 24-hour reports from units to ensure timely responses to significant changes in condition or events.
• Listens to and documents significant changes in resident condition per agency policies and state regulations.

Assistant Wellness Director Responsibilities include:

• Maintains and implements nursing policies and procedures that reflect current standards of nursing practice, company, and facility philosophy of care and practices while maintaining compliance with state and federal laws and regulations.
• Communicates and interprets policies and procedures to nursing staff. Monitors practices for effective implementation and achievement of results.
• Conducts resident assessments, suggesting level of needed service packages to residents and their families, as directed.
• Ensures delivery of compassionate quality care evidenced by adequate services and staff coverage for the facility, appropriateness of staff, absence of odors, cleanliness, absence of pressure wounds, and apparent maintenance of optimal physical, mental and, psychosocial function.
• Demonstrates knowledge of and application of Key Clinical Quality Indicators.
• Reviews 24-hour report from every unit daily to ensure timely, effective responses to significant changes in condition, transfers, discharges, use of physical or chemical restraints, unexplained injuries, potential abuse or neglect, medication errors, loss of resident property, or any evidence of resident or family dissatisfaction, as directed.
• Listens and documents significant changes in condition of residents; including, but not limited to, incidents, unexplained injuries, medication errors, loss of resident property, or evidence of resident or family dissatisfaction per agency policies and state regulations.

Qualifications:
