GEODIS is seeking an Assistant Warehouse Operations Manager in Coppell, TX. The role coordinates distribution, warehousing, and cross-dock operations, while interfacing with customers to promote improved services and profitability.

The position leads multiple warehouse staff, supports marketing and sales initiatives, and ensures resources meet company goals. Food accounts require food-safety reporting as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of related experience or training.
• Proficient with Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to read and interpret documents; write routine reports.

• Reports food safety problems for food accounts to the proper personnel.

ASSISTANT WAREHOUSE OPERATIONS MANAGER

Shift/Schedule:

Monday-Friday; 6:30am-3:30pm (Saturday Rotation every other month)

Your role on the team:

• Coordinates distribution and warehousing in a cross dock operation
• Confers with customers and representatives of associated industries to evaluate and promote improved and expanded services in the area.
• Develops plans for efficient use of materials, equipment, and employees.
• Reviews costs and making changes/recommendations to maintain and enhance profitable operation of divisions.
• Develops plans for efficient use of materials, equipment, and employees.
• Participates in marketing and sales efforts, ensuring assigned facilities have the resources necessary to meet company goals and objectives, as well as P&L responsibilities.
• Supervises several warehouse positions to include Team Leaders and Operations Supervisor
• For food accounts, incumbent is responsible to report food safety problems to personnel with authority to initiate action.

What you need:

• Minimum 3 years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and training
• PC proficiency to include Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Bonus if you have: (Preferred requirements)
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manual.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
