Job summary

GEODIS is seeking a warehouse operations professional in Carlisle to coordinate distribution and warehousing in a cross dock setup. You will work with customers and industry partners to improve services, plan efficient use of materials, and supervise multiple warehouse roles to meet company goals and P&L targets.

You will analyze costs, support marketing and sales efforts, and ensure safety and compliance across food accounts, reporting issues to the appropriate authorities when necessary.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of related experience and/or training
• PC proficiency to include Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manual.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates distribution and warehousing in a cross dock operation
• Confers with customers and representatives of associated industries to evaluate and promote improved and expanded services
• Develops plans for efficient use of materials, equipment, and employees
• Reviews costs and makes changes to maintain profitable operation of divisions
• Develops plans for efficient use of resources including materials, equipment, and staff
• Participates in marketing and sales efforts to ensure facilities have resources to meet goals and P&L responsibilities
• Supervises several warehouse positions including Team Leaders and Operations Supervisors
• Reports food safety problems to the appropriate authority when dealing with food accounts

Your role on the team:

• For food accounts, incumbent is responsible to report food safety problems to personnel with authority to initiate action.

What you need:

• Minimum 3 years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and training
• PC proficiency to include Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
