WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

The Assistant Warehouse Manager is the individual responsible for ensuring daily efficient, accurate, and timely warehouse operations. These operations include worker’s safety, receiving, storage, order picking, shipping, inventory management, and warehouse facility (space) management. Always support a safe working environment in area of responsibility. Correct or report unsafe acts or conditions through appropriate channels of resolution. Works to meet customer needs by timely shipping of products.

WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

The Warehouse Assistant Manager is the primary managerial contact with the Warehouse Supervisor. This individual sets the tone of conduct regarding employee’s attitude toward their work. The supervisor’s attitude toward the employees, personality, leadership capability, technical competence, and focus on continual improvement will help determine his or her success. The most important function is the proper scheduling and utilization of people to result in optimum productivity (e.g., sensible use of overtime). Regular feedback, including discipline and documentation where appropriate, of individual and group performance is also essential to this position.

The Assistant Warehouse Manager is the tactical administrator of the warehouse facility. This work includes organizing, scheduling, and dispatching work assignments, staging space, and dock facilities to maximize efficient material flow.

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities may include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree - Logistics or similar discipline
5 – 8 years of experience in progressive leadership experience will be considered
5 years minimum experience as a Warehouse Supervisor
5 years minimum experience supervising and developing employees

We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer potential candidates. Provided is the national pay range for this position which is $92,000 to $142,000 per year. However, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 12% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position is $103,040 to $159,040. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and are not a guarantee.
