Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market seeks an Assistant Vitamin/HBA Manager to lead a busy vitamin department and deliver outstanding customer service in a fast-paced store environment.

You will manage inventory, ordering, training and mentoring of the Vitamin team, ensure safety and sanitation guidelines, and drive growth through top customer experiences and product knowledge.

This role requires strong organizational skills, flexibility, and a passion for helping customers choose vitamins and health products.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age and a minimum of 1 year of vitamin, homeopathy, or holistic experience with leadership duties; or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
• Be dependable and reliable with the ability to work a flexible schedule including night, weekends, and holidays.
• Have and show an outgoing and friendly behavior; a positive attitude and ability to interact with customers.
• Have good communication skills and the ability to give and take direction while maintaining a team environment.
• Perform general housekeeping in the department; clean and dust.
• Adhere to safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations.
• Be willing to gain education on new products and alternative health.
• Have strong organization and prioritization skills.
• Be able to perform physically demanding tasks and move objects up to 50 lbs. and work on ladders as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Assistant Vitamin/HBA Manager in managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit
• Responsible for ordering and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Vitamin/HBA team
• Coordinate production, merchandising, and sales through planning, direction, goal setting, communication, and teamwork
• Lead a team that delivers high-quality products, service, and customer experience
• Ensure customers receive the best possible service and guidance on vitamins, supplements, and health/beauty products
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of vitamins and health products to advise customers without prescribing
• Assist in recruiting, hiring, developing, mentoring, and motivating the Vitamin team
• Unload and sort store deliveries
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment and contribute to store success
