Job summary

Digital Media Management is hiring an Assistant Video Editor (Temporary) to support the Creative team. You will manage files and help produce low-lift social assets, including short clips and format adaptations for different sizes.

You'll work with Art Directors, Project Managers, Video Editors, Motion Designers, and Graphic Designers to ensure smooth workflow from intake to client delivery.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience editing and creating video assets.
• Experience in Output and Delivery processes for client or team editors.
• Proficiency with Mac OS and Creative Cloud apps including Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, and Media Encoder.

Responsibilities

• Assemble edits quickly and relay feedback to align with client expectations.
• Assist editors with project organization and asset management to meet deadlines.
• Ingest, format, and sync incoming raw footage; keep media organized and accessible.
• Edit social content in various sizes for platforms like Instagram, Facebook and YouTube.

Digital Media Management (DMM), a Keywords Studios company, is a leading full-service digital agency, content studio and incubator specializing in social-first, “always-entertaining” marketing. DMM works with movie studios, television networks, streaming services and consumer brands to create groundbreaking social media campaigns via fan activations, innovative content creation, results-driven paid media planning, and strategic influencer-brand partnerships.

We are currently looking for an Assistant Video Editor,Temporary to join our Creative team. In this role, you will manage creative files and assist in producing low-lift social media assets, including simple video clips, and reformatting content for different social media sizes.

You will collaborate closely with Art Directors, Project Managers, Video Editors, Motion Designers, and Graphic Designers to support the creative process. Additionally, you will oversee the asset management process from initial intake to final client delivery, ensuring smooth workflow and organization throughout the project.

Your Impact

• Quickly assembles edits and complement notes from creatives and clients, ensuring clear communication of feedback to produce assets that align with client expectations.
• Assists editors with project organization and asset management, ensuring seamless collaboration and workflow across the team to meet deadlines.
• Ingests, formats, and syncs incoming raw footage, managing media of all footage and files, ensuring everything is organized and accessible for editing.
• Edits social content (stitching clips, subtitles) in various sizes for various social platforms (Instagram/Stories, Facebook, YouTube, etc.).
• More tasks depending on project needs.

Your Experience

• 3+ years of experience with editing and creating video assets, either independently or in previous employment.
• Experience in both Output and Delivery processes, preparing elements for delivery to either client or team editors.
• Proficiency with Mac OS and Adobe Creative Cloud apps, including Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Media Encoder, and After Effects, as well as Final Cut and other 3rd party software when applicable.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with creative teams and clients.
• Flexibility to adapt with changing timelines and deliverables to ensure smooth project flow.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and knowledge of editing workflows to ensure high-quality video production.

Your Availability

• M-F: 9am-6pm PST
• Occasional nights & weekends
• Flexibility to work outside of regular business hours or on weekends as needed

$16.83 - $24.04 an hour

The salary range for this role is $16.83 - $24.04 an hour and is based on experience, responsibilities of the position, subject matter expertise and is location specific.
