Job summary

Digital Media Management is seeking an Assistant Video Editor (Temporary) to join our Creative team. You will manage files and assist in producing low-lift social media assets, including simple clips and reformatting content for different sizes.

You will collaborate with Art Directors, Project Managers, Video Editors, Motion Designers, and Graphic Designers to support the creative process and oversee asset management from intake to final delivery, ensuring smooth workflow and organization.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience editing and creating video assets, independently or in previous roles.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud apps including Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, and Media Encoder; Final Cut familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Assemble edits and incorporate feedback from creatives and clients to deliver assets aligned with expectations.
• Assist editors with project organization and asset management to ensure smooth collaboration and meet deadlines.
• Ingest, format, and sync raw footage; manage media to keep everything organized and accessible for editing.
• Edit social content in various sizes for Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and other platforms; add subtitles where needed.
• Handle additional tasks as project needs evolve.

Job description

We are currently looking for an Assistant Video Editor,Temporary to join our Creative team. In this role, you will manage creative files and assist in producing low-lift social media assets, including simple video clips, and reformatting content for different social media sizes.

You will collaborate closely with Art Directors, Project Managers, Video Editors, Motion Designers, and Graphic Designers to support the creative process. Additionally, you will oversee the asset management process from initial intake to final client delivery, ensuring smooth workflow and organization throughout the project.

Your Impact

• Quickly assembles edits and complement notes from creatives and clients, ensuring clear communication of feedback to produce assets that align with client expectations.
• Assists editors with project organization and asset management, ensuring seamless collaboration and workflow across the team to meet deadlines.
• Ingests, formats, and syncs incoming raw footage, managing media of all footage and files, ensuring everything is organized and accessible for editing.
• Edits social content (stitching clips, subtitles) in various sizes for various social platforms (Instagram/Stories, Facebook, YouTube, etc.).
• More tasks depending on project needs.

Your Experience

• 3+ years of experience with editing and creating video assets, either independent or in previous employment.
• Experience in both Output and Delivery processes, preparing elements for delivery to either client or team editors.
• Proficiency with Mac OS and Adobe Creative Cloud apps, including Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Media Encoder, and After Effects, as well as Final Cut and other 3rd party software when applicable.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with creative teams and clients.
• Flexibility to adapt with changing timelines and deliverables to ensure smooth project flow.
• Strong organizational skills, and knowledge of editing workflows to ensure high-quality video production.

Your Availability

• M-F: 9am-6pm PST
• Occasional nights & weekends
• Flexibility to work outside of regular business hours or on weekends as needed
