Job summary

Vox Media is seeking an Assistant Video Editor to join the branded content post‑production team in New York. This role focuses on turnkey and templated formats, quick-turn social cuts, and collaboration with the Post‑Production Supervisor to organize projects for external editors.

You will edit in Adobe Premiere, share cuts via Frame.io, and contribute light music and sound design. Hybrid schedule, three days in the NYC office and two remote days, with growth toward larger projects.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience editing in a digital, social, or branded content environment.
• Comfortable with templated, repeatable edit formats and eager to grow into more complex work.
• Working knowledge of Adobe Premiere; familiarity with Team Projects/Productions is a plus.
• Comprehensive knowledge of technical specifications for distribution across all digital platforms.
• Organized and detail-oriented - comfortable managing file structure and project setup.
• Familiarity with Frame.io or similar review/delivery tools.

Responsibilities

• Edit turnkey and templated content for social platforms.
• Cut quick-turn social edits independently following templates and house style.
• Take on larger or more complex edits with guidance to build toward independent ownership.
• Add basic music and sound design to elevate templated pieces.
• Apply light color and LUTs following house presets.
• Partner with the Post-Production Supervisor to organize projects for external editors.
