TheMaplesGroup is seeking an Assistant Vice President to support Client Service Professionals in administering fiduciary oversight for a diverse portfolio of funds. You will engage with clients, legal counsel, investment managers, fund administrators, and other parties across multiple jurisdictions.

The role focuses on maintaining operational controls, ensuring compliance with internal policies, and contributing to servicing excellence and billing processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university with a strong academic record.
  • 3–4 years of experience in the financial services industry; back- or middle-office experience preferred.
  • Understanding of investment funds, alternative investment structures, and related securities.

Responsibilities

  • Support CSPs with administration and fiduciary oversight of funds and client onboarding.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders across jurisdictions.
  • Assist CSPs with tax documentation and filing requirements.
  • Support CSPs in achieving quarterly KPI objectives and broader goals.
  • Coordinate preparation and timely distribution of client invoices and billing requirements.
  • Contribute to development of team capabilities by delivering trainings and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
  • Participate in conference calls, board meetings, and other client-facing engagements.
  • Maintain accurate client and transaction data in internal systems and databases.

TheOpportunity

The Assistant Vice President is responsible for supporting Client Service Professionals (CSPs) in the administration and fiduciary oversight of a diverse portfolio of alternative investment funds while regularly engaging with clients and third-party service providers. The role serves as an important link between internal and external parties, helping to deliver exceptional client service, maintain strong operational controls, and ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures.

Keydutieswillinclude:

  • Supportbusinessdevelopmentinitiativesbyparticipatinginnewbusinessenquiries,analysingproposedstructures,reviewingtransactiondocumentsandprovidingcommentstorelevantstakeholdersasappropriate,andcoordinatingourclientacceptanceandonboardingprocesses
  • Developandmaintainstrongworkingrelationshipswithexternalstakeholders,includinglegalcounsel,investmentmanagers,fundadministrators,primebrokers,andothertransactionpartiesacrossmultipleinternationaljurisdictions.
  • SupportthefinancialstatementreviewprocessforCSPs,includingthereviewandanalysisoffinancialstatements,managementrepresentationletters,engagementletters,andotherrequireddocumentation,whileprovidingtimelyandsubstantivefeedback.
  • AssistCSPswiththepreparation,review,andsubmissionofU.S.andforeigntax-relateddocumentationtoensurecompliancewithapplicablefilingrequirementsanddeadlines.
  • SupportCSPsinachievingquarterlykeyperformanceindicator(KPI)objectivesandbroaderbusinessgoals.
  • Serveasthedesignatedadministratorforalimitedportfoliooffiduciarymandates,ensuringefficientandcompliantday-to-dayadministration.
  • Participateinconferencecalls,boardmeetings,andotherclient-facingengagementsasrequired.
  • Maintainaccurateandup-to-dateclientandtransactioninformationwithininternalsystemsanddatabases,ensuringtheintegrityofdataandrecordsrelatedtoassignedclientportfoliosandbusinessdevelopmentactivities.
  • Coordinatethepreparationandtimelydistributionofclientinvoicesinaccordancewithapplicableadministrationagreements.AssistCorporateAdministratorsandCSPswithbillingrequirementsforbothexistingandnewlyonboardedclientmandates.
  • Contributetothedevelopmentofteamcapabilitiesbypreparinganddeliveringtrainingsessionsandknowledge-sharinginitiativesasneeded.
