Position Overview

Job Title: Assistant Vice President

Location: Cary, NC

DB Global Technology, Inc. seeks an Assistant Vice President in Cary, NC to design, estimate, and develop backend services using Java and the Spring framework. Salary range: $131,120.00 - $165,000.00 per year. This position is eligible for Deutsche Bank's Employee Referral Incentive Program.

Responsibilities

• Design, estimate, and develop backend services using Java and the Spring framework.
• Diagnose and resolve intricate application incidents through root‑cause analysis using log reviews, trace analysis, and debugging sessions.
• Implement automated monitoring and alerting systems to detect anomalies and respond to production data changes.
• Leverage application support processes, escalation protocols, and advanced support tools, including Oracle SQL, ServiceNow, Splunk, Geneos, and Jira.
• Ensure system integrity and scalability by performing regular performance benchmarking, capacity planning, trend analysis, and collaborating with QA to design performance and stress tests.
• Develop and optimize solutions with Python, C++, KDB/Q, and Java.
• Design accurate application configurations and execute seamless deployments through CI/CD pipelines, binary assurance, comprehensive test coverage, UAT alignment, routine deployment automation, and JSON/YAML configuration.
• Enhance platform reliability through proactive monitoring, critical alerting, and performance tuning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field, or equivalent.
• Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience diagnosing and resolving application incidents.
• Proficiency with Java, Spring, Python, C++, and KDB/Q.
• Experience with Oracle SQL, ServiceNow, Splunk, Geneos, Jira, CI/CD pipelines, and JSON/YAML.
• Strong skills in root‑cause analysis, monitoring, capacity planning, and performance tuning.
