Job summary

The Archdiocese of Detroit seeks an Assistant Varsity Volleyball Coach for Austin Catholic High School in Austin, MI. The ideal candidate will support the Head Coach in developing the volleyball program and guiding student-athletes in skill development and sportsmanship.

This role involves planning practices, organizing team activities, and promoting a positive team culture. Applicants should have a strong knowledge of volleyball and excellent leadership skills.

Completion of Protecting God’s Children training and a valid CPR certificate are required.

Qualifications

• Prior playing experience is necessary.
• Able to attend practices and games during the season.
• Experience working with high school athletes is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and leading team practices.
• Support the Head Coach in organizing team activities.
• Provide mentorship to student-athletes.
• Help analyze team performance.
• Promote a culture of discipline and respect.
