Job summary

Connelly School of The Holy Child, Inc. in Potomac, MD seeks an Assistant Varsity Ice Hockey Coach for the 11/09/26–2/15/27 season. The coach will plan and conduct practices and games, and oversee team equipment. Reporting to the Athletic Director, you will communicate with student-athletes, families, and staff to foster a positive team environment.

Seasonal stipend position with typical schedule adjustments; on-ice duties occur at Wheaton Ice Rink and Cabin John venues as noted.

Job description

Assistant Varsity Ice Hockey Coach : 11/09/26 – 2/15/27

Practices typically occur Mondays at Wheaton Ice Rink 3:45-5:15pm and Wednesdays at Wheaton Ice Rink 8:00-9:15pm. There are a few additional ice slots throughout the season at Cabin John. Games are played Monday – Friday at various locations.

Coaching Skills/Requirements:

Candidates should have prior coaching experience, with playing experience at the high school and/or college level preferred. The coach will report to the Athletic Director and will be responsible for planning and conducting practices and games, as well as organizing and maintaining team equipment. The coach will also be expected to communicate effectively with student-athletes, families, and other members of the athletic department and contribute to a positive and supportive team environment.

The stipend for this position is $3,500.

COMPENSATION
