The Boys & Girls Club (Central Orange Coast) is seeking an Assistant Unit Director in Orange, California. This pivotal role involves supporting the Unit Director in all program operations, overseeing volunteers, and maintaining high standards of service delivery.
You will play a key role in planning and evaluating programs, coaching staff, and developing partnerships with schools and community leaders. Ideal candidates have a minimum of 48 college units and experience in non-profit programming. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Compensation: $21.00-$23.00 (20 – 25 afternoon hours/week)
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Orange Coast is looking for a great leader to join our dynamic team. We are a highly effective, results-driven, mission-focused organization and we need a high-functioning, energetic, organized and committed professional to fill the critical role of the Assistant Unit Director.
As Assistant Unit Director, you will be responsible for supporting the Unit Director with program operations as well as ensure all policies and procedures are in place. The Assistant Unit Director will work directly under the Unit Director and support with assessing program execution and provide feedback in where areas of improvement could be made. The Unit Director will be relying heavily on the Assistant Unit Director to be an extra pair of eyes and troubleshoot problems that may arise.
The Assistant Unit Director will provide support, coaching, and will lead by example to the other staff members. On occasion, the Assistant Unit Director may be asked to act as a substitute and work directly with a group of 20-25 students. The Assistant Unit Director will also be responsible for the management of volunteers and will oversee the screening, interviewing, processing, and exiting of all volunteers. Assistant Unit Director will take over management of the club site in the absences of the Unit Director. The Assistant Unit Director must be able to take direction from the Unit Director and respect the chain of command.
This position may require the ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, reach, lift, carry, push, or pull objects up to 50 pounds.
