Florida State University Athletics is seeking an Athletics Turf supervisor within the Grounds Department in Tallahassee. The role involves directing the turf staff to support world-class facilities and athletic fields, planning spray programs, and coordinating with coaches to minimize field conflicts with games and events.

The position requires a degree with substantial turf management experience, licensing within six months, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and three years' experience or a high school diploma or equivalent and seven years of experience. (Note: or a combination of post high school education & experience equal to seven years.)

• Provides guidance and direction to the staff involved in turfgrass services and programs including but not limited to assisting with field painting, infield dirt maintenance, and synthetic turf cleanup and care.
• Work with coaches and other associated parties to schedule management practices that minimize conflict with scheduled games, practices, recruiting events, and other special on field events.

• Experience preferably in Division I College Athletics, or with a Professional Sports team.
