Job summary

Florida State University is seeking a Groundskeepers OPS to support the Facilities Grounds Department in Tallahassee, FL. The role is temporary and involves performing routine groundskeeping tasks on university properties under supervision.

Responsibilities include edging, mulching, raking, weed control, litter removal, and pruning, with occasional other tasks as directed. A ninth grade completion and a valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• Completion of the ninth grade.
• A valid Florida or Georgia driver's license or the ability to obtain one upon hire.
• Preferred: knowledge of lawn equipment including weed eater, blower and edger, and ability to work under inclement conditions.

Responsibilities

• Edge, mulch, rake, power blow, weed eat, pull weeds, remove litter and debris from assigned areas.
• Prune as required by supervisor or higher authority.
• Other groundskeeping tasks as assigned.
