Job summary

Reyes Holdings, through its Martin Brower distribution network, is seeking an Assistant Transportation Manager in Enfield, CT. You will lead Supervisors, Drivers, and Carriers, ensure on-time deliveries to Distribution Centers, and drive safe, compliant operations.

You will staff, train, evaluate, and develop the team, monitor productivity and timekeeping, manage schedules and hours, review invoices, and build carrier relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with 5+ years of related experience and 2+ years of management experience or High School Diploma with 8+ years of specific experience and 4+ years of management experience.
• Master’s Degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• The Assistant Transportation Manager leads Supervisors, Drivers, Common Carriers, and overall Transportation Operations ensuring that finished goods are delivered to Distribution Centers.
• Staffs, trains, evaluates, and develops team members by leading improvement activities and engagement as well as monitors employee productivity and timekeeping.
• Ensures adherence to delivery standards and regulatory requirements while managing drivers’ delivery schedules and hours worked.
• Develops and manages the transportation budget by reviewing and approving transportation invoices.
• Works with manufacturing plants and distribution centers to manage carrier relationships and conduct carrier meetings.
• Other duties as assigned.
