Job summary

State of Maine is seeking an entry-level geotechnical engineer to support design and construction of transportation structures. The role involves subsurface exploration oversight, lab testing program development, and evaluating geotechnical conditions for bridge projects.

Initial duties include field monitoring, preparing design reports, and collaboration with project teams. A Bachelor’s degree in engineering and Engineer Intern certification are required or anticipated.
