Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration in MA or ability to obtain within one year required.
• Soil Evaluator license desirable.
• Proficiency in CAD and engineering design software including AutoDesk Civil 3D; GIS and surveying experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, bid, and oversee detailed engineering work for municipal projects including drainage, roadway, and stormwater improvements.
• Coordinate EPA/NPDES MS4 permit compliance and reporting.
• Review complex plans for code conformity and prepare technical memoranda and reports.
• Advise Town departments and committees on engineering matters.
• Perform land surveys and prepare design plans for infrastructure projects.
• Oversee contractors/consultants and review payment requisitions.
• Inspect construction and ensure adherence to plans, specs, and regulations.
• Represent the Town at meetings outside regular hours.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering

Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification

Professional Engineer (PE) registration
