Job summary

The Department of Public Works - Administration and Engineering Division in Barnstable, MA is seeking a Civil/Environmental/Mechanical Engineer. You will conduct research, data collection, planning, and design for municipal projects across water, sewer, roads, and marine infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Provide research, data collection, evaluations, and planning for DPW projects.
• Perform design, construction inspection, survey, contracting and contract management tasks.
• Maintain accurate records and respond to public inquiries professionally.
• Prepare plans, specifications, cost estimates and contract documents.
