Job summary

CAST Transportation is seeking an Assistant Terminal Manager/Dispatcher to support daily operations at our Carlsbad, NM terminal. You will dispatch drivers, coordinate routes, and help meet load commitments while overseeing shop activities and driving team productivity.

You will communicate with drivers, vendors, customers, and management, using TMW, PC Miler and PeopleNET to monitor performance and maintain driver utilization. This is a full-time, in-person role.

Qualifications

• Dispatching experience required.
• General knowledge of DOT rules and requirements.
• Great customer service and strong communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Highly motivated with attention to detail.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Proficiency with computers (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Prior experience with TMW, PC Miler and PeopleNET is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create schedules, dispatch drivers with routing information and provide essential details.
• Create spreadsheets and reports as needed.
• Professional communication with drivers, vendors, customers, and management; process requests with timely follow-through.
• Utilize TMW for entry and dispatch load information.
• Utilize PeopleNET to track and monitor drivers.
• Maintain a positive team environment and strong working relationships with customers, vendors, operations, and drivers.
