Job summary

The Maine Department of Transportation in Wilton, ME seeks a professional to document highway assets for location, condition and layout for entry into the database. The role will assist Region with developing contract specifications and plans and perform routine construction inspections.

You will draft simple culvert designs and assist the Region Engineer in generating drainage basin characteristics using USGS stream stats and computer software.

  • Education, training, and/or experience in engineering, a technical field, or another related area demonstrating competency in reviewing technical plans, drafting diagrams and reports, collecting data, and analyzing datasets for trends.

Salary: $19.49- $27.14 per hour (Salary Schedule) *Salary includes a 2.5% stipend*

Job Description

The position's primary responsibility will be documenting highway assets for location, condition, and layout for entry into database (s). Qualifications

To be minimally qualified for this position candidates must provide evidence of the following experience: Education, training, and/or experience in engineering, a technical field, or another related area demonstrating competency in reviewing technical plans, drafting diagrams and reports, collecting data, and analyzing datasets for trends.

Under federal law, only U.S. Citizens, Permanent Residents, or H-2A, H-2B, or E-2 visa holders will be eligible for new or renewed CDLs.
