Maine Department of Transportation in Wilton, ME is seeking an engineer to document highway assets, assess location, condition, and layout for entry into the agency database.
You will support Region with contract specifications and plans, perform routine construction inspections, and assist with culvert designs and drainage analyses using USGS tools.

The position's primary responsibility will be documenting highway assets for location, condition, and layout for entry into database (s). Position will assist Region with development of contract specifications and plans. Perform routine construction inspection to ensure projects are constructed according to plans and specifications while documenting contractor pay estimates. Will assist with drafting simple culvert designs. Assist Region Engineer in the generation of drainage basin characteristics using appropriate tools such as USGS stream stats and computer software.
Education, training, and/or experience in engineering, a technical field, or another related area demonstrating competency in reviewing technical plans, drafting diagrams and reports, collecting data, and analyzing datasets for trends.
