Tommy Bahama in Seattle is seeking a Technical Design Assistant to support the Technical Design team in ensuring that products meet brand specifications for fit, construction, grading, and design details from development through production.

You will assist in documenting and communicating style changes, developing specifications, reviewing samples, and maintaining accurate records—while supporting tech packs, fittings, and cross-functional collaboration to keep projects on schedule.

Qualifikationen

• 1–2+ years experience in fashion industry desired.
• Experience with knit and woven products preferred.
• Technical design or product development experience desired.
• Gerber pattern making knowledge a plus.
• Advanced computer skills: FlexPLM, Illustrator, Excel and Word.
• Sewing skills and knowledge of sewing machines preferred.
• Ability to work in a global, multi-cultural environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Detail oriented and able to manage priorities and meet deadlines.

Aufgaben

• Assist Technical Designers on Development and Production tech packs and fittings.
• Attend fit sessions and take notes with the Technical Designer.
• Maintain pattern and sample block library.
• Develop classifications within the Tommy Bahama line for upcoming seasons.
• Prepare and evaluate development and production fit samples, measure and steam garments.
• Participate in sketch handoff meetings and update construction specs for tech packs.
• Assist in evaluating patterns and photographing samples.
• Update measurement charts in PLM/Flex and attend CFT meetings.
• Help manage the sample closet and coordinate fittings.
