Job summary

S. Rothschild & Co., Inc. seeks an energetic Assistant Technical Designer to support fit, pattern, and technical execution across Women’s categories including woven, knits, sweaters, outerwear, bottoms, denim, and swimwear.

You will participate in live fittings, learn end-to-end production development, and build strong tech packs and documentation for overseas factories. This role focuses on accuracy, organization, and clear communication within a fast-paced design team.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
• Familiarity with Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Understanding of garment construction and fabric behavior.
• Strong written and verbal communication for overseas factory correspondence.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and spec development samples against tech pack specs.
• Attend live fit sessions and record measurements and notes.
• Maintain tech packs in PLM/Excel with POM, BOM, construction details.
• Draft and send fit correction comments, photos, and charts to overseas vendors.
• Log and track samples to meet development and production milestones.
