Job summary

Fujifilm seeks a seasoned Technical Sales Engineer on the West Coast to promote optical products and deliver on-site demonstrations for Broadcast, Cinema, CCTV lens systems, and Z projectors. You will train staff, provide expert consultation, and coordinate with engineering and Japan HQ to translate feedback into product improvements.

Job description

• Promote Fujifilm optical products and support field sales activities
• Conduct on-site product demonstrations and support technical training for internal and customer sales and service staff
• Provide technical sales support and product expertise for Broadcast, Cinema, and CCTV lens systems and Z projectors
• Build and maintain relationships with customers, dealers, rental houses, broadcast stations, vendors, and industry partners
• Serve as technical liaison between customers, sales teams, engineering groups, and Fujifilm's factory in Japan
• Identify customer needs, recommend optical solutions, and provide technical consultation before and after sales
• Travel to customer locations for product demonstrations, training/commissioning, and check-and-clean maintenance
• Communicate with Japan headquarters about new products and technologies and prepare technical presentations
• Consolidate customer feedback for product development and Japan's R&D team
• Develop and deliver product and maintenance training
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and optical product complaints and provide corrective measures
• Evaluate performance, condition, and quality control of new, repaired, and customer-owned lenses
• Provide advanced technical troubleshooting support
• Perform disassembly, cleaning, lubrication, calibration, alignment, and functional verification of lenses, projectors, and accessories
• Support repair turnaround through diagnostics, parts and labor estimates, and corrective-action coordination
• Prepare technical reports, training materials, and product presentations
• Support trade shows, customer demonstrations, workshops, and field events
• Document field feedback, technical concerns, and product performance trends
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment and follow safety policies
• Perform additional assignments and special projects as directed by management

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or certification in engineering or related quantitative disciplines
• 5+ years of work experience in a fast-paced and highly competitive technical and service environment
• Highly focused and results-oriented; able to identify goals and priorities and resolve issues in initial stages
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a close team environment
• Self-starter
• Exceptional communication/interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Proficient computer skills

• Extensive hands-on experience in technical service and training in broadcast and communications products fields
