Job summary

pOpshelf is hiring an Assistant Team Leader to support the Store Team Leader in creating a customer‑first store culture, supervising staff, stocking merchandise, and handling deposits and cashier duties. You will help with scheduling, training, and safety meetings while ensuring strong store presentation and profitability.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, at least 1 year in retail and 6 months of supervisory experience, with strong cash handling and mathematical skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• 1 year of experience in a specialty retail environment preferred.
• Six months supervisory or team lead experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service and operate cash register.
• Assist Store Team Leader in creating a customer-first store culture.
• Model product knowledge and merchandising to drive sales and store appearance.
• Support scheduling, training, safety meetings, and policy compliance.
• Process merchandise receiving, stocking, restocking, and display setup.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and manage cashier accountability.
