The School of Educational Studies at UW Bothell invites applications for a teaching faculty position at the rank of Assistant Teaching Professor, with an anticipated start date of September 2027. We seek applicants who demonstrate commitment to excellence in teaching and service in a diverse and inclusive academic community.

The successful candidate will join our faculty on a full-time basis for a nine-month, 3-year appointment beginning September 16, 2027.

Qualifications

• Earned doctorate in education, educational studies, learning sciences, human or child development, or related field, or foreign equivalent.
• 2+ years' K-12 teaching experience or equivalent professional experience.
• 1+ years' experience in teaching lower and/or upper-division courses that examine child and youth development.
• 1+ years' experience in teaching with face-to-face, hybrid, and/or online platforms.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate courses in Developmental and Youth Studies.
• Engage in innovative pedagogy across face-to-face and hybrid platforms.
• Commit to equity and inclusive learning initiatives.
