Job summary

University of Washington Bothell invites applications for a teaching faculty position at the rank of Assistant Teaching Professor, starting September 2027. The appointment is full-time for nine months over a 3-year term, with a base salary beginning at $9,345 per month and extending to $9,845 per month, commensurate with experience.

The successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses within Developmental and Youth Studies, including Theories of Learning, Culture, & Identity, and

Qualifications

• Applicants must have a doctorate in education, educational studies, learning sciences, human or child development, or related field or foreign equivalent.
• 2+ years' K-12 teaching experience or equivalent professional experience.
• 1+ years' experience teaching lower and/or upper-division courses that examine child and youth development.
• 1+ years' experience teaching with face-to-face, hybrid, and/or online platforms.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate courses as part of Developmental and Youth Studies, e.g., Theories of Learning, Culture, & Identity, Human Growth and Learning, Children in Schools & Society, Adolescents in Schools & Society.
• Engage in innovative and effective pedagogy (face-to-face and hybrid).
• Commit to working with diverse student and community populations; participate in teaching and service.
