Oak Hill is seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Assistant Teacher I (ATI) to provide hands-on classroom support to individuals with Developmental and other Disabilities. This role involves inspiring others, making a life-changing impact, and achieving professional growth and personal fulfillment. Oak Hill partners with people with disabilities to provide services promoting independence, education, health, and dignity. The role will help expand Oak Hill’s ability to identify and address diverse community needs. The Substitute Assistant Teacher at Oak Hill’s New Hartford location is required to work an average of 15 hours per month. Responsibilities include supporting Special Education Teachers, preparing lessons, teaching students, assisting with behavior management, and setting up classroom materials. Applicants with no experience and those interested in entering the education or direct care field, or seeking a career change, are encouraged to apply.
This is a union position with pay ranging from $18.50 to $19.40 per hour, depending on shift.
