Job summary

The Goddard School of Oklahoma City at Gaillardia is seeking an Assistant Teacher to support a safe, engaging classroom for young children. You will partner with the Lead Teacher to implement age-appropriate activities and foster a nurturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is required.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education is preferred.
• Meets all state background check and licensing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist with implementing age-appropriate lesson plans and classroom activities.
• Support children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through positive interactions.
• Prepare classroom materials and maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming learning environment.
• Supervise children while encouraging independence, confidence, and a sense of belonging.
• Communicate with families about their child's daily activities and progress.
• Follow health, safety, and licensing regulations to ensure a secure classroom.
• Assist with daily routines and provide nurturing care throughout the day.

• Has a basic understanding of child development
• Can lift up to 50 pounds as needed when caring for children
• Meets all state background check and licensing requirements
