The Goddard School of Moore, OK is seeking a motivated and caring Assistant Teacher to support the Lead Teacher in implementing age-appropriate lesson plans, manage the classroom, and ensure a safe, stimulating environment. A high school diploma is required; an associate or bachelor's in Early Childhood Education is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate or bachelor's in Early Childhood Education preferred.
• Previous experience in licensed childcare or preschool setting preferred.
• Shows empathy and compassion for young children.
• Works productively without supervision.
• Basic understanding of child development.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. in relation to handling children.
• Must pass state background checks and meet state education/experience requirements.

Responsibilities

• Support children’s social, emotional, cognitive and physical development through active engagement and positive interactions.
• Prepare classroom materials and maintain a safe, clean, inviting learning environment.
• Supervise and provide individualized support to children and foster belonging.
• Assist in communicating with families about their child’s progress and daily activities.
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines and licensing regulations for a secure environment.
• Support daily care routines to promote a nurturing learning environment.
