The Goddard School in Oklahoma City is seeking an Assistant Teacher to join our caring team. You will work with the Lead Teacher to create a safe, engaging, and nurturing classroom where children thrive.

You will implement age-appropriate activities, support holistic development, and communicate with families to share progress and milestones. A positive, energetic, and organized approach is valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is required.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education preferred.
• Meets state background check and licensing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist with implementing age-appropriate lesson plans and activities.
• Support children's development across social, emotional, cognitive, and physical domains.
• Prepare classroom materials and keep a clean, welcoming learning space.
• Supervise children and encourage independence and belonging.
• Communicate with families about daily activities and progress.
• Follow health, safety, and licensing regulations in the classroom.
• Assist with daily routines and provide nurturing care throughout the day.

As an Assistant Teacher, you'll work alongside the Lead Teacher to create a safe, engaging, and nurturing classroom where children thrive.

Your responsibilities will include

• Assist with implementing fun, age-appropriate lesson plans and classroom activities
• Support children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through positive interactions
• Help prepare classroom materials and maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming learning environment
• Supervise children while encouraging independence, confidence, and a sense of belonging
• Communicate with families about their child's daily activities and progress
• Follow all health, safety, and licensing regulations to ensure a secure classroom
• Assist with daily routines and provide nurturing care throughout the day

We're looking for someone who

• Has a genuine love for working with young children
• Brings positivity, patience, and enthusiasm to the classroom
• Enjoys collaborating with others and contributing to a supportive team
• Is dependable, organized, and able to work independently
• Has a basic understanding of child development
• Can lift up to 50 pounds as needed when caring for children
• Meets all state background check and licensing requirements

Qualifications
