The Goddard School located at 12606 S Memorial Drive, Bixby, OK is seeking an Assistant Teacher to support the Lead Teacher in creating engaging programs and maintaining a safe, stimulating classroom. Join a collaborative team focused on student development and hands-on learning.

You will assist with lesson plans, supervise children, and communicate with families while adhering to health, safety, and licensing standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate or bachelor's in Early Childhood Education preferred.
• Experience working with young children in a licensed childcare or preschool setting.
• Shows empathy and compassion for young children.
• Works productively without supervision.
• Basic understanding of child development.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children.
• Must pass required state background checks and meet state minimum education, experience, and credential requirements.

• Support children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through active engagement and positive interactions.
• Prepare classroom materials and ensure a safe, clean, and inviting learning environment.

• Adhere to health and safety guidelines and licensing regulations to ensure a secure environment.
• Support daily care routines and tasks to promote a nurturing learning environment.
