Job summary

Children of America, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Teacher to join our team of educators. You will work with children from 6 weeks to 12 years old, supporting age-appropriate learning in a structured environment and documenting progress for families.

The role offers opportunities for growth within the COA system and internal promotion to Lead Teacher. Compensation includes an hourly wage in the $17.10–$19.10 range, with benefits like an employee childcare discount and TEACH scholarship

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a licensed childcare setting.
• Strong organizational and decision-making skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily lesson plans.
• Assist in creating a safe, structured, and positive learning environment.
• Communicate professionally with parents, children, and team members.
• Utilize technology to document and deliver child progress reports.
• Exhibit empathy toward children's emotions and parents' needs.
• Present age-appropriate expectations for children.
• Be creative, passionate, and engaged in your work.
• Demonstrate a desire to grow into a Lead Teacher role.
