Acquire4Hire LLC is seeking an Assistant Teacher to support the Lead Teacher in creating a secure, engaging classroom for young children in Tacoma, WA. You will help implement curriculum, supervise activities, and promote social-emotional development.

Responsibilities include maintaining a tidy classroom, assisting with routines, and communicating with families. The role offers growth opportunities and access to ECE classes through Clover Park Technical College.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
• Enrollment in Washington MERIT and completed background check through MERIT / DCYF (essential)
• Current CPR & First Aid Certification (infant/child/adult) (required)
• Bloodborne Pathogens Training (current) (required)
• Negative TB test (required)
• Up-to-date immunization records (required)
• Current Food Handler's Card (required)
• Ability to follow guidance, directions, and classroom procedures (required)
• Physical ability to lift, carry, and actively engage with children (required)
• Strong communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills (essential)
• Some state-required ECE credits preferred but not required

Responsabilités

• Plan and implement developmentally suitable curriculum with Lead Teacher
• Supervise children during all classroom activities, meals, and transitions
• Contribute to children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
• Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment
• Prepare and clean learning centers, activities, and materials
• Assist with classroom routines to promote predictability and structure
• Collaborate with staff to ensure seamless operations
• Communicate observations to the Lead Teacher for support resources
• Participate in staff meetings and professional development
• Foster positive relationships with families and staff
