Job summary

Little Scholars is hiring an Assistant Teacher/Floater for our Downtown Brooklyn center. You will assist the lead teacher to create a welcoming classroom, plan weekly themes, and supervise daily activities, ensuring a safe, engaging environment for children.

We require at least 6 months of childcare experience and strong communication with children and parents. The role is full-time, on-site, with a wage of $20–$22 per hour and a $250 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• 6 months or more of professional childcare experience
• Ability to develop activities that are fun and educational for young children
• Ability to instruct young children on rules of conduct and learning new tasks
• Ability to effectively communicate with children and parents
• Proficient active listening skills to understand and adapt to the various needs of children and parents
• Patience and compassion are suitable for working with young children
• Meet state-specific guidelines for the role

Responsibilities
