Job summary

Wiser Choice Learning in Brooklyn, NY is seeking a caring Part-Time Floating Teacher Assistant to support our early childhood classrooms, including 2-Year-Old, 3K, and Pre-K.

The role floats between classrooms, assists Lead Teachers with activities, provides coverage during staff breaks and absences, supervises children, and supports meals, routines, and learning materials. Schedule discussed at interview.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience working with young children preferred.
• Must be flexible, patient, nurturing, reliable, and comfortable working in different classrooms.
• Must be able to follow directions and work collaboratively with multiple teaching teams.
• Must complete all required health, safety, and early childhood training.
• Must provide current medical clearance.
• Must successfully complete all required background checks and fingerprinting.
• Must be able to stand, bend, sit on the floor, and lift up to 40 pounds when needed.

• Assist with classroom setup, cleanup, and preparation of learning materials.
• Report concerns promptly to the Lead Teacher or Director.
• Participate in required meetings, orientation, training, and professional development.

We are seeking a caring, dependable, and flexible Part-Time Floating Teacher Assistant to support our early childhood classrooms in Brooklyn, NY. This position will assist in any classroom where coverage or additional support is needed, including our 2-Year-Old, 3K, and Pre-K classrooms.

Pay

• Starting rate: $18.50 per hour
• Increase to $19.50 per hour after successfully completing the 90-day probationary period

Schedule

This is a part-time, in-person position. Candidates must be dependable and available to work their assigned schedule consistently. Specific days and hours will be discussed during the interview.
